4. What does he do that surprises you? Lately almost everything! He has picked up the slack everywhere that I have lacked which has been everywhere! He cleans, cooks, does laundry, he is my super husband.
5. What is your favorite feature about him? I love it when he smiles...his eyes light up and are beautiful and his dimple comes out and I LOVE that!!!
6. What's your favorite quality about him? I love lots of things...I love how he just rolls with the punches and goes with the flow so well. Everything will be okay and there is no need to worry about things you can't change and he is good to remind me that! :)

We haven't been very good at updating our blog lately, so after some encouragement from Joe here I am. In my defense however, I was planning on doing it today anyways. But since school started I really haven't taken the time to post much because i'd rather feel quilty about watching SportsCenter as opposed to this instead of doing my homework. Especially with the way that the MLB races are coming down to the wire, if the White Sox hadn't have won today and if they don't win tomorrow and Tuesday I don't know what I am going to do after a collapse like that.

But anyways we haven't had a whole lot going on at our house. Kari's mom and sisters came over for a little while last week and helped her decorate the house a little more, we are slowly but surely getting stuff into place. The problem is that neither of us really know or care where certain pictures should go so neither of us have an opinion, therefore it doesn't get done. But the house is looking good, we have a few more things to get done with it, then I think we can relax for a little while. We did buy a new dishwasher yesterday since ours went to crap about two weeks after we moved in. But the latest news around here is that last weekend my parents and grandma and Jonathan came down for the One Pitch Softball Tournament. We had a good time with it of course and we (Muzzha Fuzzha) won the tournament pretty handily with really only one tough game. But Jonathan's team (Off Constantly) took fifth which was a great showing for them. Mom, dad and grandma were all able to be proud as both me and Wrenny played good and were both on successful teams. But that's all that has been going on around here for the past month, work, school and softball.

Leamarado Days

Did I even spell that right?! I meant to ask all weekend why it got named that. Anyway, I have officially experienced my first Labor Day in Leamington. We had a really fun weekend with Robert's family. It started of course with softball. Robert played with Jonathan and Brandt's softball team in a tournament in Payson. They didn't exactly win....but it was still fun. I was reminded to not mess with Robert in moments of frustration (that is a whole other entry that I shall probably never write!! :) ) Saturday was also Mother Lovell's birthday so after the games she took all of us to dinner (is that backward to anyone else?) Anyway, we were glad to be able to spend the day with her. We love her and are grateful for her and all she does for us and hope she had a great day! We ended the night with birthday cake and games. Even Dad played and we all laughed plenty!





The rest of the weekend was packed full of more games, home videos, cows, and fun Labor Day festivities. Amy, David, Robert and I woke up and ran the 5K race that Robert actually took 2nd at and David took 3rd! Good job boys!! Amy's little girls danced in the program that unfortunately we missed due to a cattle expedition. He heard they did great though and we can't wait to see the video. We finished the day off with a wonderful lunch, kids games and races, and the rodeo. The grandkids all had fun riding sheep (good job Ashlee and Jaxon) and chasing the money calf and Robert has promised me that next year he will do the hide race...I hear he puts on quite of show so for anyone interested in seeing if Robert can redeem himself or continue to make a fool out of himself, tune in for the next Leamerado Days coming Labor Day 2009! :) Robert also left with a new 22 that he won in the raffle-the lucky boy! It was a very good weekend with fun had by all!!

Dallin's Gone....Sniff, sniff

So my little big brother Dallin left on his mission last week. It really is a very happy thing! I must admit though that I miss him like crazy and have shed a few tears missing him and thinking of how much will change in these 2 years. If I didn't know how great missions were personally and how it affected me, I may not have let him go. He is a pretty amazing kid and we have gotten quite close in the last year especially. Having big protective brothers is always a good feeling! :) I am so excited to see how he will grow and change with this experience. Texas sure is lucky to be getting something so great and they better realize it soon because we are sure missing him here!

We had lots of fun before he left though. All of my family got to spend the weekend before he left at my mom and dad's. He spoke in church that Sunday and did a great job. He is going to be a great teacher. Robert and I were able to go up the MTC to drop him off too. It was a very bitter sweet moment. Even just writing about it again now makes me what to cry and I am finding myself taking deep breaths and blinking rapidly!! :) Oh the joys of a mission. I am already excited for the weekly letters and the experiences that are on the way! Good Luck Dall! We will pray for you everyday!

Addendum #1

So I have almost been determined to let Robert do everything on the blog, but I am fast realizing that if I let Robert do everything it is going to be very one sided! So here is my first addendum to try to give the details that he either forgets because he is a boy or conveniently leaves out because they are about him! So here it goes...he did pretty good on the wedding one. I won't add anything else but to add my thanks to everyone for all they did to make it a perfect day and to thank everyone beyond words for taking the time out of busy summer schedules to come! We felt both very lucky and loved to have so many come so thanks a million trillion!

Next...about the the other post. I think he might have tried to cram a little too much into one post because he left out some details that I don't feel good about leaving out. So about the tournament in Richfield first. So here is what really happened there! We played one game on Friday night that went great. They really did play good this tourney. It was fun to watch. After the game we went and stayed at the Apple Tree Inn or something random like that in Richfield. It was a neat place! :) We got in there and it was hotter than...well it was hot! Robert tried to get the little swamp cooler thing going and we tried to go to bed. We both woke up in the middle of the night (well one of the times we woke up) because it was so hot we were sweating. I suggested maybe that we should open the windows because it couldn't be hotter outside than it was in our room and the air flow might help. So Robert got up to open the window to find that the hose thing on the cooler that is supposed to be outside had swung inside and was now blowing all of the hot cooler air back into our room! Brilliant huh?! Well needless to say Robert fixed our problem and by morning I need the blankets to be warm! Then we woke up and got ready to go back to the fields and check out of the motel and low and behold...we have a flat tire. Yea!! So Robert now getting very concerned that he is going to be late for a game, called his team and Chomper came to get him. I was left at the motel with a very flat tire and a Big O across the street (very lucky i know!) So after going across to Big O and played helpless stupid girl with a flat tire :) they came to the motel with me, filled the tire up with air, drove it across the street and fixed me right up. I left Big O $100 dollars poorer but with no flat tire and only half the game over. The tournament was very fun. Robert played especially great and besides winning the tourney, he came away with tournament MVP! Nice detail to leave out huh?! I thought so too. Anyway, he was given a $50 certificate to Zions bank which helped greatly to pay for the new tire! Perfect time to play well and I'm sure that is what he wanted to spend his prize money on! Anyway, very fun and eventful trip already as you can see!

Now the rest of the trip I really don't need to add much more but maybe defend myself a small bit...I did swallow the worm, the proof is too overwhelming to start denying it now, but it did help us pay for our tire and I'm not really that gross I don't think. I couldn't even taste it and it was only a half and $30 bucks when you are poor is a lot of money!! Anyway, the blessing and reunion were fun. We were glad to be able to spend time with everyone. There were lots of fun memories such as the worm, the fire alarm in the middle of the night, the bear or some other big beast outside the cabin door while the adults were trying to play games that really turned out to be Dallin, children running everywhere and having the time of their lives, etc...you just have to love family don't you! We were just sad that the mistress called the next weekend so we couldn't make it to the Petersen Reunion! Maybe next year?! :)

Softball, baby blessing and reunion!

The weekend of the 24th we went up to Richfield for the Rooster Valley Super Softball Classic. The city somehow was able to stave off the elements and we were able to finish the tournament before the rains came even though it threatened for most of the day. But by the end Muzzha Fuzzha had come out on top as champions defeating Horizon Land (Arizona) 9-6 in the championship game. Immediately after that we drove up to Layton and stayed the night there then went to Logan the next morning for Lydia Grace Clove's baby blessing. It was a great event for the family to get together at and Tyrel did a great job of blessing his beautiful little girl. The luncheon that followed was fun for everyone but Kari's siblings were getting kind of sick of her trying to take pictures of them. As soon as everything was cleaned up and put away we took off for Heber City to attend the Tait Reunion which was being held Sunday through Wednesday. I stayed until Monday afternoon then had to head back to St. George to work, but Kari stayed the entire time and enjoyed being able to visit with her grandparents, siblings, cousins and aunts and uncles. Though I had to leave early I was still priviliged to be able to get up at 5 am Monday morning to go fishing. We didn't have much luck fishing from shore or while trolling, but with a promising payout of cash from Roy and Nate (Kari's uncles) Kari took on the challenge of eating a worm. So I was elated to get to see that and capture it on video for all to see.

24th of July!

I know it's been a few weeks, but I figured I could update everyone on what we have been up to during our hectic summer. For the 24th we went up to Enterprise to enjoy the festivities up there. Kari's sister Melinda played on the All-star softball team that won the state tournament and got to go to Vancouver, WA for the Western Regionals to see who got to go to the national tournament, so she was riding on the fire engine in the parade. Unfortunately she had to leave immediately afterwards so we didn't get to see her much but it was fun to see her riding the truck in the parade. We then had a bbq that night with the Clove family and enjoyed seeing alot of Kari's aunt's and uncle's and cousins on that side of her family. All in all it was a fun 24th, we wish we could have seen Grandpa Petersen riding a horse as an honored cowboy in the parade in Hinckley but unfortunately you can only be one place at a time.

Our Wedding!

What a wonderful event this was! There was cake and ice cream and most importantly a beautiful bride! We both felt like the ceremony went great; the Sealer was very emotional and did a good job of teaching us the doctrine of eternal life together. He kept it pretty short so we were able to get lots of pictures with all of our family and friends that were able to come. The luncheon also went great; we are very grateful to Jonathan (for doing magic), Kari's siblings (for doing an awesome job on our wedding video), Grandpa Tait (for singing, it meant alot to me and that much more to Kari) and of course both of our parents (for bringing it all together). The reception was wonderful, Kari's family did an awesome job of decorating and I think my dad was even impressed with how good they made those old, broken wooden ladders of his look. We got great support from both families and Enterprise folk; I was hoping for less people to come through the line so I could sit down for a minute and eat some ice cream, but what can you do? Following that we had some dancing and everyone was able to see how well I can cut a rug, which is pretty good if I may say so myself. Then the cake cutting of both David's b-day cake (after his face took a dive in it) and our wedding cake. We were then off in our newly painted Saturn, which my family took the liberty of making sure everyone we passed knew that we had just gotten married, to enjoy our honeymoon. And we just wanted to say thanks to everyone who was able to come and to all those who helped with it, especially our parents, we couldn't have done it without you!
